The Employee Self Service / Manager Self Service portal was launched for the employees of the Valves Business Group on 17th October 2008. This SAP based system enables employees record their personal information, working time and leave requests online. Also, the portal is featured with an ‘Employee search’ option that connects thousands of L&Tites across the country.
Mr. D S Narayan, Head – Technology & Improvement initiatives declared the ESS/MSS portal open for the employees of VBG while Mr. Suresh Pillai who has taken charge of SAP implementation in MIPD, facilitated the launch and demonstrated the features and benefits of this portal.
Ms. Bhama Suresh, VBG-HR who addressed the gathering conveyed the message sent by Mr. A K Banerjee, Vice President of VBG. Mr. Banerjee had urged all the employees to effectively utilize this system and enjoy its benefits. The entire event was organised by VBG-HR.
